About Monash Uni Water Polo
Founded in 1984 and still going strong — Victoria's largest and most diverse university water polo club.
Who we are
Monash University Water Polo Club was established in 1984 and has grown into the largest and most diverse university water polo club in Victoria, with members drawn from over 20 countries. We are based at the Doug Ellis Swimming Pool on the Monash University Clayton campus.
The club is made up of two programs; Juniors and Seniors. Our Senior program is open to Monash students, alumni and local adults. Our Junior program caters to young players with a love of the water.
We currently field up to 10 teams per season across 6 men's leagues and 3 women's leagues, as well as junior competition teams. Whether you're chasing a state title or just want to get fit and meet people, there's a place for you here.

What we stand for
Open to all backgrounds, experience levels and ages. If you can swim, you can play.
We play hard but we are here to enjoy it. Great friendships are formed on pool deck.
Our coaches are committed to helping every player — junior or senior — grow their game.
Members from over 20 countries make our club one of the most culturally rich in Victoria.
From social leagues to UniSport Nationals, we have pathways for players who want to compete.
We build lasting friendships on and off the water. Once a Monash Water Polo player, always one.
Life at Monash Water Polo

Where we train
All training and home games are held at the Doug Ellis Swimming Pool on the Monash University Clayton campus. The facility includes three heated indoor pools — two 25-metre pools with variable depth that are ideal for water polo.
